Sedation Dentistry

Your comfort and wellbeing are our priority at every stage of your visit.
01. Initial Consultation
We begin with a private assessment of your medical history and an honest discussion about your anxieties to determine the most suitable sedation level for you.
02. Pre-Treatment Preparation
On the day of your appointment, we ensure you are settled comfortably. Depending on the chosen method, we may administer a sedative via inhalation or a small tablet.
03. Comfortable Dental Treatment
We perform your procedure while you remain in a state of deep relaxation. This calm environment allows us to work with greater precision and efficiency, completing your treatment while you rest at total ease.
04. Recovery and Aftercare
Once we finish your treatment, we escort you to a private space where you can recover comfortably. We provide you with clear, detailed aftercare instructions and ensure you feel perfectly ready before you head home.

How long does sedation last after a dental procedure
The duration depends on the type of sedation used. Inhalation sedation wears off within minutes of stopping the gas. Oral and IV sedation may leave you feeling drowsy for several hours, which is why we require a companion to drive you home.
What are the 4 levels of sedation
The four levels include Minimal Sedation (relaxed but fully awake), Moderate Sedation (drowsy, slurred speech, limited memory), Deep Sedation (on the edge of consciousness but can be awakened), and General Anaesthesia (completely unconscious).
Will I feel any pain during the procedure
No. While sedation induces relaxation, we also use local anaesthesia to numb the treatment area, ensuring you remain entirely comfortable throughout the process.
Is sedation dentistry safe for everyone
Most patients are eligible for sedation; however, we conduct a thorough medical screening to account for any underlying conditions or medications. Your safety is our absolute benchmark.
Can I return to work the same day
If you opt for inhalation sedation, you can typically return to your routine immediately. For oral or IV sedation, we recommend a full day of rest to allow the sedative to fully leave your system.
